We shot our first video on Saturday morning.  This will be the fist in a series looking at how to pick the right dress for any event, and then wear it to maximum effect.

As this was our first video we had lots of support from Music Video Scotland’s Simon.  For those of you who may be looking to have a professional video produced I would recommend having a look at Simons work and getting in touch.  He was excellent at incorporating the ideas we had and putting the staff at ease in front of the camera.

If you’ve never had to stand in front of a camera it’d hard to explain how hard this can be.  Even when it’s a subject you discuss every day as soon as that lens turns your way it all feels very different!  Simon was good enough to bring with him a talented actress who was spent time in front of the camera and could help everyone relax.  I’m glad we recently put new ‘day light’ lights in our private bridal room.  Not only do these show the dresses up just as in direct sunlight but they worked perfectly for the filming.

I’m very excited to see how it turns out and hope everyone gets real benefit from this.

The ladies in store are always getting asked about how to choose the right style, colour and fabric so we are all looking forward to getting the articles and videos covering this uploaded as soon as we can.  Naturally, these will all be free to view for everyone and be issued here and via the newsletter.
